Science-Backed Protection for Your Hair Color

To evaluate Jevie THE SHAMPOO, we conducted a comparative laboratory test against a leading ‘damage control’ shampoo. Under harsh washing conditions, Jevie THE SHAMPOO preserved hair color while the commercial shampoo showed significant fading. The results prove Jevie’s superior ability to protect and prolong color.

After three hot-water washes, the commercial shampoo showed marked fading, while Jevie THE SHAMPOO retained its dyed color with minimal change.

1. Hair & Pre-Treatment
   Two sets of natural gray human hair were prepared and uniformly dyed dark gray using standard oxidative dyeing procedures.
   
   
2. Grouping
   Dyed hair was split into two groups: Jevie THE SHAMPOO (pH 5.6) and Commercial “damage control” shampoo.
   
   
3. Stress Test Conditions
   To accelerate color loss, hair was washed in hot-water conditions. Both shampoos were warmed prior to use.
   
   
4. Wash Cycles (×3)
   For each cycle, shampoo was applied to the wet tress, massaged, then rinsed in hot water. This was repeated three times per group under the same conditions.
   
   
5. Rinse & Dry
   After the third cycle, tresses were rinsed thoroughly and dried without conditioner or styling products.
   
   
6. Evaluation
   Color retention was assessed by visual comparison under standardized lighting and photographic documentation (same background and white balance).
   
   
7. Controls for Fairness
   Application time, water exposure, wash count and handling were kept identical for both groups.
